Some people say soursop is an anti-cancer fruit. Scientific researches found many bioactive components including alkaloids, flavonoids, sterols, and others. These are responsible for the major anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and other health benefits. Anti-cancer properties have been found in vitro experiments and on studies with use of animal models. However, clinical studies on human for anti-cancer effects have not been carried out yet. Therefore, we do not encourage to use this fruit or other parts of the plant for this purpose.
